Loyal Shoppers Rewarded with Privileged Prices
13th February 2012
Shoppers and diners in Wolverhampton City Centre are being offered the opportunity to make savings on a wide range of purchases in Wolverhampton City Centre.
WV One has joined forces with local charity The Haven Wolverhampton to launch the Wolverhampton Privilege Card which aims to put the heart back into Wolverhampton by encouraging savvy shoppers to bag a bargain. The Wolverhampton Privilege Card will help shoppers save 10% on purchases in over 100 stores and businesses in the City Centre as well as gain exclusive access to a range of bespoke promotions and loyalty offers. All shoppers need to do is show their card in participating stores to claim their discount.
Businesses participating in the Privilege Card
Scheme so far include Bonmarche, Commando, Darlington Vintage Clothing,
Evans & Wood Candles, Diffusion, Café Maxism, McDonalds, The Sony Centre, Francesco Group
Wolverhampton, Indy Ink Tattoos, Toni & Guy, Light House Cinema, Leisure
Lakes Bikes, several market traders and many many more.
Shoppers will be able to buy a card valid for 30 days for just £5 (£3 concessions) or for regular shoppers an annual card, valid for 12 months, costs just £15 (£10 concessions). Cards will go on sale on Tuesday 14th February.
Julia Buckley, Fundraising Officer for The Haven Wolverhampton (pictured above with Kim) said: “With so many offers people will quickly start saving money. At least 50% from the sale of the cards goes directly to support The Haven Wolverhampton, a charity which supports women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse, so shoppers are helping themselves, helping local businesses and helping vulnerable women and children via our work at The Haven.”
The scheme also aims to encourage shoppers back into the City Centre. Kim Gilmour, WV One Operations Director, commented: “This scheme is geared at supporting city centre businesses and aims to remind thousands of savvy shoppers just how many great retail opportunities Wolverhampton city centre has to offer.
The Wolverhampton Privilege Card Scheme will be officially launched on Valentine’s Day at The Mander Shopping Centre. The Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Bert Turner, will be attending the launch hoping to be one of the first 100 people to sign up for a card and take away a free cotton shopping bag. Cards will go on sale from 12pm on February 14th from stalls located on the ground floor of The Mander Shopping Centre, opposite BHS. Cards can also be purchased from all participating retailers, details of which can be found at www.ilovewlv.co.uk.
